DIGITAL ECONOMY

  • Fintech:

Our lawyers had direct participation in the design, drafting and negotiation of the Fintech Law and its secondary regulation. We are familiar, in full detail, with the regulatory challenges and necessities that need to be fulfilled in order to assist, counsel and guide the client in undertaking projects in this new field for the Mexican market.

Having advised several clients in this area, we are experts in the regulations applicable to e-wallet and crowdfunding projects, and other innovative models, which allows us to suggest the best alternatives for the implementation of the client's business.

  • Digital payment systems:

We provide constant advice to one of the main Payment Aggregators in Mexico and, hand in hand with the client, we have been able to implement innovative business models that comply with the legal and regulatory requirements. In addition, we know in detail the regulations applicable to the different payment systems: SPEI and payment card networks (Red de Medios de Disposición), which allows us to provide specialized advice to our clients in the development and implementation of new innovative payment schemes. This is because we avoid bureaucratic procedures that may not be applicable to the particular case and, instead, we offer the legal routes that allow the client to achieve its objectives as quickly and efficiently as possible.

  • Internet platforms and apps:

DLG Abogados provides its services to several of the main technological platforms and apps on the Internet in niches such as social networks, food delivery and home delivery services, electronic payment services, among others. For our clients, regulatory issues are everyday topics, they are always in constant interaction with a number of federal, local and international authorities, for which DLG Abogados is always updated in order to provide the best advice applicable to the particular case.

For every existing or new business it is necessary to go digital and this must be done in an efficient manner. In Mexico there are still gray areas of regulation on the Internet, which makes it necessary for the Client to be certain that the Firm is always up to date in the legal and regulatory knowledge of the various legal areas to which Internet platforms and applications are subject to. We are proud to be always innovating in the legal criteria that govern the digital world.

  • Personal data protection:

We constantly advise all our clients on personal data protection, an issue intimately linked to confidentiality. In addition to local legislation, we are updated in the knowledge of the new standards established in the USMCA regarding transborder data flow and other instruments such as the APEC Privacy Framework and the OECD Council Recommendation on the OECD Guidelines on privacy protection and transborder flows of personal data.

We have also designed and implemented confidentiality and data protection policies, privacy notices and other instruments that fully comply with obligations in this area.
